Nicole holds a Juris Doctorate (JD) and Juris Indigenarum Doctorate (JID) from the University of Victoria which specializes in both the common law and Indigenous Legal Orders.

During law school, Nicole completed two field schools with Pehdzeh Ki First Nation and Cowichan Tribes.

Prior to law school, she graduated with Honours from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminal Justice & Public Policy.

Nicole previously articled at Mandell Pinder LLP working in Aboriginal law. During her articles she became interested in pursuing family law to assist Indigenous families.
